In 2020, the company achieved a turnover of EUR 405 million (USD 494.7 million), a growth rate of 170% from the previous year. On July 1, 2020, Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH group acquired 50.1 percent of Emma – The Sleep Company.
The flagship product is the Emma® bed-in-a-box, which is currently available in more than 30 countries. The mattress is sold directly to consumers via a diversified customer experience that includes several digital touchpoints as well as about 2,000 stores. The successful omnichannel strategy has been made possible by partnerships with several retailers.
