Emma names Wolfgang Neuner as CFO | Press at Emma - The Sleep Company

Frankfurt/Germany, 6 April 2022. Emma – The Sleep Company is expanding its management team: As of April 1, 2022, Wolfgang Neuner is the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the fast-growing e-commerce company. The internationally experienced investment and financing expert will complement the management team in Frankfurt.

"Emma has been profitable since its first active years on the market and has left its US competitors behind with sales of 645 million euros in 2021. I am taking on a key position at a globally leading and extremely dynamic company," said Wolfgang Neuner, Emma's new CFO. Before joining Emma, he worked for private equity companies in London and Munich, among others. There he helped international corporations as well as small and medium-sized companies to find new ways of creating value and to optimize old ones. "New products, new niches, new markets – these are levers that bring organic growth and are therefore elementary for the value creation of a company. Due to the great potential, Emma's international expansion will continue. While the team is growing strongly on a global scale, we are also looking at operational efficiency. Decision-making paths are to be shortened and processes automated. Also, to support the respective country heads in making fast and good decisions."

Most recently, Wolfgang Neuner worked for the German-Swedish investment company Triton Partners, which specializes in pan-European investments in medium-sized companies. There he coordinated and was responsible for new acquisitions and supported management teams of portfolio companies in defining and implementing their strategic agenda.

The opening of the flagship store in Shanghai marked another milestone in our activities in Southeast Asia. Looking at this expansion course, Wolfgang is a great asset as an investment expert for global growth. Wolfgang Neuner will be responsible for Accounting, Tax, Legal, and Business Intelligence. "In addition to the numerous content-related incentives, it's great to take on the leadership of an already well-established team across the Frankfurt, Lisbon, Manila, Shanghai, and Mexico City offices," he adds.
