What you'll do:

  • You’ll work both independently and as part of our supportive global Legal & Compliance Team, while working closely with our General Counsel,  as well as our external lawyers
  • Be the legal contact for the Americas, advising on topics that range from commercial law, competition law, advertising law, dispute resolution, legal entity management, and legal operations, as well as managing external lawyer spend
  • Strengthen key pillars of our compliance framework through continuous monitoring and developing tailormade solutions together with the broader Legal & Compliance Team
  • Support the business, procurement, supply chain management, and other teams with legal and strategic advice in a fast-paced environment that requires experience and judgement
  • Prepare, draft and review legal documents, including corporate records, court filings, and a wide variety of contracts 
  • Monitor legislative and judicial developments and provide training to business, procurement, supply chain management, and other teams in a fun, creative and educational manner
  • Contribute to internal knowledge management

Who we're looking for:

  • You have a law degree from a faculty in Mexico
  • You obtained significant experience working in a law firm and/or as inhouse lawyer within a corporate
  • You have experience with a range of practice areas related to an internationally operating retail company
  • You bring excellent legal research and analytical skills to evaluate complex information and develop sound legal arguments
  • You are confident in drafting legal documents and communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders
  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot) and have awareness of legal tech tools such as Jira, Luminance, and similar tools
  • You are a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • You are fluent in Spanish and have strong English language skills

About the Role:

  • As Legal & Compliance Manager - Americas, you will join a Legal & Compliance Team that works across Manilla, Mexico City, Lisbon, and Frankfurt am Main. You will be based in our key regional hub in Mexico City. Your scope will primarily focus on matters concerning our operations across the Americas, which covers Canada, Chile Colombia, and Mexico, as well as the USA. You will work at the intersection of law and business, supporting our General Counsel, together with a team of dedicated Emmies, who each value collaboration and collegiality across our global Legal & Compliance Team. Your work will directly influence how we operate in a key regional hub, working alongside senior business partners as you provide counsel and help shape new strategies that support our long-term growth. This is a unique opportunity to shape the further development of one of Europe’s most dynamic D2C companies.
