We are seeking a talented and passionate Fullstack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly and high-performance web applications and scalable backend services that power our global operations. You will work closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring robust and efficient system integrations.
What you'll do:
- You will design, build, and scale Emma’s technology platform, helping us become a global leader in sleep comfort products. Your work will directly impact our customers’ experiences and the quality of our offerings.
- You will develop innovative, web frontends using VueJS or ReactJS and TypeScript, ensuring seamless, user-friendly experiences that align with our mission to improve sleep quality.
- You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs, helping integrate our backend with internal systems and external partners.
- You will work with AWS services such as SNS, SQS, and RDS to build event-driven, scalable solutions that support our fulfilment and logistics systems across multiple markets.
- You will fully own the tech stack across frontend and backend, taking responsibility for development, maintenance, and operations (full DevOps), and driving improvements in reliability and performance.
- You will work as part of an agile, empowered team, actively sharing knowledge, mentoring team members, and fostering a collaborative environment for growth and innovation.
- You will play a key role in enhancing our cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, DevOps culture, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to enable faster, more reliable deployments.
- You will contribute ideas and help identify opportunities for technical and process improvements, actively participating in recruitment processes to grow our tech team.
Who we're looking for:
- You are proficient in TypeScript, in modern frontend frameworks and ecosystems, with experience in either: Vue / Nuxt, ideally including exposure to the Nitro server engine, or React / Next, including experience with server-side rendering and modern routing/data‑fetching patterns.
- You have hands-on experience developing backend services using TypeScript (Node.js), ideally with frameworks like Fastify, Express JS or any other typescript web framework in production environments.
- You have practical experience designing and implementing REST APIs and understand how to build scalable, maintainable services.
- You have a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and continuous delivery.
- You bring several years of proven experience in software development and operations, covering the full software development lifecycle, ideally within an E-commerce or similarly complex business domain.
- You have experience working in cloud-based environments, ideally AWS, and are confident operating within distributed systems. You understand how to integrate services using messaging systems such as SNS/SQS, Kafka, or similar tools.
- You have practical exposure to monitoring and observability, leveraging tools like Grafana to ensure reliability and performance.
- You value organized, document your codebase and practice testing at all levels, including unit, integration, end-to-end, and load testing.
- You are comfortable using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and operational best practices for smooth deployments and maintainability.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or an equivalent field – or bring comparable professional experience.
- You are self-organized, own your projects end-to-end, and take a proactive approach to using technology to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
- You combine strong analytical skills with business acumen, and you’re an open-minded, collaborative teammate who challenges directly while caring deeply.
- Nice to have experience working with design teams to implement Design Systems and build cohesive, scalable user interfaces.
- You are eager to learn, open to mentorship, and excited to grow both your technical and business understanding within a supportive, high-performing team.
