What you will do:
- As part of our EMEA tax team, you are responsible for Indirect tax reporting & accounting within 15+ countries across Europe
- You review advance and annual VAT returns as well as any additional filings required within Europe such as Intrastat and you always keep track of the current status of the filings in order to meet due dates and payment deadlines
- You review VAT reconciliations and always keep track of the VAT Accounts
- You engage actively in the optimization and/or creation of processes with regards to the Indirect Tax Compliance
- By collaborating closely with other teams , esp. the Accounting team, as well as our external partners you contribute to actively managing tax risks and driving potential for tax optimization within the Indirect Tax Compliance area
What we are looking for:
- You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship (accountant, tax clerk, tax specialist) or a university degree with a focus on tax law/taxation
- Ideally you have relevant professional experience in VAT You have experience with common accounting software (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) You are fluent in English
- You would be joining the team on a fixed-contract base for at least 1 year as a maternity coverage. Extension of the contract will be optional. Additionally, based on your performance and the availability of an open position, we are open to discuss a permanent contract with you after completion of the 1-year period.
- You enjoy questioning the status-quo, have the drive to push boundaries and are not afraid to speak up, you review and develop things further, and want to be part of a fast-paced environment with new challenges everywhere
- You are characterized by an independent, careful and structured way of working; you also maintain an overview in work-intensive situations
- You are a true team player and achieve the greatest successes as part of a team
