About the Role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Emma and our Strategic Procurement team. In this role, you’ll be able to create a global impact, contributing significantly to Emma’s worldwide supply chain growth, actively managing relationship with suppliers across the globe.  

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Cost Management: you will lead substantial cost reduction projects, orchestrating multimillion-dollar price negotiations with key Business Partners to optimize efficiency.  
  • Manage Suppliers with Expertise: your focus includes developing in-depth knowledge of suppliers, understanding cost drivers per category, and staying abreast of sourcing markets and industry trends to ensure Emma sources at the most competitive prices. 
  • Risk Mitigation: you will lead supply chain risk assessments, minimizing the impact of unforeseen events. You develop and communicate risk management techniques to enhance Emma's resilience in the face of challenges. 
  • Strategic Sourcing: you will analyze and explore new sourcing regions, continuously identifying and developing relationships with strategic suppliers to optimize Emma's supplier network. 
  • Collaborative Leadership: you will drive strategic vendor development through close collaboration, identifying and leveraging value-adding opportunities. Actively participating in product life cycle decisions, you will also collaborate with internal stakeholders for successful product launches and transitions. 

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor or master's in business administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or a related subject area; 
  • 6+ years of practical business experience, ideally on Procurement. 
  • A strong, out-of-the-box thinker with great business judgment who creates outstanding solutions for complex problems.  
  • Strong analytical skills: you can draw meaningful insights when looking at data and have a problem-solving mindset.  
  • Strong negotiation skills: you love negotiating and are intrinsically motivated to strive for the best.  
  • Excellent communication skills: you easily manage various stakeholders (external and Senior level). 
  • Excellent English skills (further foreign language skills are an advantage, e.g., Chinese, German or Portuguese). 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you are willing to “roll up your sleeves”, and implementing cost-saving strategies is your key strength. You leverage a strong business sense and entrepreneurial mindset to identify and capitalize on opportunities within the supply chain.   
  • You are up to date with the new technologies and willing to adapt and lead the change through new technology, AI and related.
