Skyrocketing

We announce the launch of our new Dunlopillo Smart Select Series. Ireland, China, and Australia join the growing list of countries selling the Emma mattress.

We open Emma Southeast Asia in Manila. In October, Emma wins Germany’s prestigious Stiftung Warentest. We begin to exclusively sell our own products, and close our shop Dormando. Our team grows to 290 members. Our revenues for the year exceed €150 million.

Dormando begins to include more private label products. We develop our own private label one-size-fits-all Emma mattress, which is launched in Germany. Our team members grow to 55 so we move to a new 285 m² office space. Our revenues for the year are €3 million.

We start our multi-brand online shop Dormando with a team of 7 in a tiny 14m² office that we nickname “The Foxhole.” Our first sales are two Dunlopillo mattresses (a brand we will buy in 2016). Revenues for the year are €5.3 thousand.

We launch Emma in Sweden, Denmark, Hong Kong, USA, and India. We win Tech5’s #1 Fastest Growing Startup in Europe and Kununu’s Best Place to Work Awards. Emma wins awards in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. UK’s Which? Consumer Association places Emma at #1 on their mattress comparison table.

To sharpen our team members’ skill sets, we start our in-house Emma Sleep University. At 176 people, we’ve outgrown our office! We move to a new 2061 m² space. Revenues increase by 140% to €80 million.

We launch Emma in Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands, and the UK. We acquire Dunlopillo’s brand rights for Germany, Austria, and selected European countries.

We start an in-house Research and Development team to create superior sleep products. Our team grows to 85 members, and our combined revenues for Emma and Dormando reach €20 million.
