Recruitment Requirements

·       Promote sales by attending to customer’s needs in a prompt and courteous manner
·       Strive for register accuracy
·       Serve customers quickly and politely
·       Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and safety
·       Merchandise stock efficiently while minimising stock loss through careful arrangement and rotation in accordance with company policies
·       Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality of work in the areas of responsibility
General Requirements
·       Adheres to all controls, policies, procedures and guidelines (e.g., Product Recall, Employee Handbook, Due Diligence, Handling of Payments, National and Function Handbooks etc.)
·       Maintains the policies and procedures governing Occupational Health & Safety, minimising workplace hazards by providing clear direction, continuous training and facilitating staff involvement and communication
·       Adheres to the principles of the EMMA Management System
·       Works in accordance with the international Corporate Responsibility principles
·       Follows the principles of the EMMA CHINA Employee Handbook, Compliance Manual and Code of Conduct
·       Consistently serves every customer following the EMMA Steps of Service approach with utmost respect and sincerity
·       Accurately operates the cash register using the scanning system
·       Handles cash with the utmost care
·       Stocks merchandise as required in all areas of the store
·       Accurately checks off deliveries
·       Undertakes cleaning activities as required
·       Undertakes inventory stocktake as directed by the direct leader
·       Adheres to all current legislative and EMMA internal requirements and responsibilities at all times and maintains adequate records
Individual tasks
·       In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, it is the responsibility of the Store Assistant to carry out individual tasks requested by the direct leader which are in the nature of the job description or result out of necessity of the business
Special authorities
·       Is entitled to travel and claim expenses for job duties
·       Can be nominated as Deputy Store Manager and takes on the operational responsibilities that come with this role for the time of cover
·       During Absence, the Stand-In for the Store Assistant is organised by the direct leader
