What you'll do

  • You will assist in the architecture, design, and build of an enterprise data platform, using modern data management tools and coding languages on modern cloud-based environments.
  • You will take part the entire lifecycle of data management from source system integration, modelling for both high-latency large volume and low-latency data services, streaming data sources and API integration.
  • Be a member of a high-performance team of engineers that will both inspire and motivate.
  • Participation in cross-functional project teams for the implementation of data related use cases.
  • Utilize enhance modern DEVOPs processes for operational support and deployments

Who we're looking for

  • Degree in computer science, data engineering or in a related field or equivalent on the job experience
  • Understanding of relational databases and data warehousing
  • Expert SQL knowledge and ability to extract, store and analyse datasets.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud services such as RDS, Redshift, Lambda, s3, EC2, ECR, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Kinesis, Glue, or equivalent in other cloud or on-prem providers
  • Hands on experience with the Linux Shell, SSH, Git
  • Prior experience in ETL/ELT and big data tools.
  • Experience with one of the object-oriented programming languages, preferably SPARK OR PYTHON, and their respective data manipulation libraries.
  • Good project / time management, and organizational skills. Good attention to details.
  • Good written and spoken skills in English.
